The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a 10-year golden visa, which will be extended to professionals including engineers, doctors, and Ph.D. holders who have graduated from UAE-recognized universities with a GPA of 3.8 or higher. This visa is designed to retain "bright individuals and exceptional talents" within the country.

As a long-term residency scheme, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai's ruler and prime minister, established the golden visa in 2019. Since its introduction, the visa has been given to more than 400 investors, businessmen, and some of their family members.

The Dubai government has implemented new rules and regulations related to employment conditions and business opportunities, aiming to create favorable conditions for individuals seeking to relocate to the country.

There are a number of ways to immigrate to Dubai, including:

by submitting an application for one of the visas (student visas and family reunification visas) that permit a foreign national to reside in Dubai; by obtaining an employment visa, which necessitates first receiving a job offer from a local employer; by using the investor visa, which is available to those who are interested in establishing a business in Dubai;

Dubai has introduced a new residency by investment program, allowing individuals to secure residency through investments. It's important to note that in certain cases, having a sponsor may be a requirement for individuals applying for immigration to Dubai.

Skilled Worker Visa

Applicants need to be at least 18 years old to meet the age requirement. For individuals over the age of 65, there might be a higher Dubai visa cost, which the company would need to cover.Unskilled workers are required to hold trade qualifications, whereas skilled workers need to have a bachelor's degree along with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Business Visa

The Golden Visa program, designed to grant foreign nationals and their dependents long-term visas, encompasses a business visa as well. This initiative aims to foster a business-friendly atmosphere and contribute to the growth of the UAE's economy.

Citizenship Visa

In 2021, the UAE introduced investment-based citizenship, which marks a notable departure from the typical practice in the GCC region of offering foreign nationals visas and residency permits but not citizenship. The program has garnered praise from many entrepreneurs and skilled individuals interested in understanding the process of acquiring Dubai citizenship since its inception.

Student/ Study Visa

On November 24, 2018, the UAE government approved a resolution to grant deserving students a 5-year visa.

Secondary school students, whether enrolled in public or private institutions, are required to achieve a minimum graduation grade of 95%. For both local and international universities, students must complete their education with a commendable GPA of at least 3.75.

Family Visa

To be eligible to sponsor family members for relocation to the UAE, you need to fulfill the following criteria:

Male foreign workers must have a monthly income of at least AED 4,000 or AED 3,000 along with housing.

Female expatriates should have a minimum monthly income of AED 10,000 or AED 8,000 with housing.

Visitor/ Tourist Visa

If you don't qualify for a visa on arrival or visa-free entry to the UAE, you will require a tourist visa. Tourist visas are available for eligible travelers from any part of the world. However, females under the age of 18 are not allowed to apply for this type of visa unless they are accompanied by their parents.
