The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a 10-year golden visa, which will be extended to professionals including engineers, doctors, and Ph.D. holders who have graduated from UAE-recognized universities with a GPA of 3.8 or higher. This visa is designed to retain "bright individuals and exceptional talents" within the country.

As a long-term residency scheme, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai's ruler and prime minister, established the golden visa in 2019. Since its introduction, the visa has been given to more than 400 investors, businessmen, and some of their family members.

What are the reasons to choose the Middle East as your immigration destination?

The India-Gulf region hosts the world's second-largest migration pathway. Among the nearly 31 million non-resident Indians (NRIs), approximately 8.5 million are employed in the Gulf. In the Gulf States, where the proportion of non-nationals in the workforce ranks among the highest globally, Indians constitute nearly 30% of the expatriate workforce.

Since the "oil boom" in the 1970s, Indian migration to the Gulf has played a crucial role in contributing funds to the country. The transfer of remittances has served as a cornerstone of the economy in regions with high rates of migration, such as Kerala. Indian migrant workers have played a substantial part in fostering the economic growth of the Gulf States during this period.
